L’omicidio fu rivendicato dalle “Brigate Rosse” e rientrò nelle azioni di queste contro la DC. Il processo accerterà che gli organizzatori e gli autori del fatto erano stati esponenti di spicco del gruppo terroristico che lo aveva rivendicato.
